Picked this up at a gun show NIB $600.00 out the door (375 Ruger) I just couldn't walk away from it for that price. I'm Looking forward to playing with it , I really don't have a need for it but I Had a 3x9 Bushnell 4200 looking for a place to land anyway so I guess that's as good a reason as any. Dies, Brass, and bullets, all were harder to find then I would have expected, are on the way. I put out some corn for the Red Squirrels , think I'll give them a going over wiht it , it should handle that. Good hunting KH

A pesky, wildly-charging, rampaging red squirrel is a pretty tough character and the .375 might be just the ticket to handle him

Looks very nice, 8)

I have been reading about the 375 Ruger since you posted your picture. Very neat round. A little big for deer but I am guessing it would hammer one. Hmmmmm maybe I should keep my eyes open.

Excellent price for a squirrel round. It is a looker, as well. Consequently, your posting is proof of an old adage--a loose scope attracts rifles like nothing else. Good snag on your part.

Very nice and one heckuva great price as well!

I am not sure I could've walked away from that rifle either! Way to go.

Nice! Is that one of the 23" barreled rifles? If so, that was an amazing score!

Very nice looking rifle.
Congrats on your acquisition. It may be a little on the light side for those dangerous red tree rats but it should handle the common field mouse just fine.

That is a great find  and the squirrels in your area must taking those new steroids . I sure hope that you have someone backing you

Blessings,
Dan

Thanks to all . BK , yea it has a 23" barrel . I wanted a stainless Alaskan a couple years ago , but I kinda talked myself out of it . Most I've been seeing are $850.00 to $1000.00. There were 2 other 375 Rugers laying there on the table , a Guide gun and a African those were both marked $979.00. There was also a blued Alaskan on another Table they had $995.00 on that. I really felt like if I was ever going to get one this was a good chance. I wish it had 20" barrel I guess at this point my theory is I can make a 23" barrel a 20" but I can't do it the other way. The Red squirrels are having a big happy out here all fat and sassy but very soon that's going to change. Chattering buggers. Good hunting KH

I gotta admit I'm heap plenty jealous about that find! I want one of those SS 23" jobs bad!

I don't know how big a Red Squirrel is but that should handle them. Especially with a quick finisher. Great rifle at a great price!

Now quit teasing the man..... He obviously knows the best way to get a Red Squirrel is to drop the tree on him. The 375 might at least take off the limb. They are quick and pesky little farts. CL

All we need for squirrels down here in Texas is a .300 Whelen. Must be some big ones up there at the North Pole.

Nice rifle!

I never knew that a 3.5” 12Ga shotgun slugs were woefully inadequate for red squirrels?

They'll bounce right off those rascals, Keith.
