As for the locomotive I clobbered them from 25-50 mph. At 50 they really sailed. Dan.

Not going to try and remember them all but my first was a mulie with a marlin .30-30 and open sites. Also here is my daughters first buck with a 7mm-08 and federal 120 gr factory loaded fusion. My nephews first with my 7mm-08 and 150 gr ablr. And my best one, Hoyt carbon element compound bow. A good whitetail with the 7mm-08 and 150 ablr.
My favorite is my .300 wm and a 180 ab or my .30-06 and 165 grand slam but I have a new Nosler 28 rifle that I shot my last deer with and I really love that rifle with a couple different loads.

Had a Remington Model 7 KS (custom shop) in 7BR. Hunted with it but no kills.
I have a couple 6.5 Needmores but don't hunt with them. Always seem to grab the 7-08 first.
Probably shot better than 75% of my deer with the 243 or 7-08. Had several 280's and now I have a 280 AI that I'll use this year.
Never had any desire to have a 30-06.

CVA Optima V2 .50 muzzleloader was what I took my first deer with.
I’ve since than two more deer with it including the one in my avatar, a nice nine point, during an extended holiday hunt after Christmas last year.
Most of my deer have been taken with my Remington 700, 30-06 I think that stands at nine.

Nosler rifle in 28 nosler shooting 162 eld-x handload. Shot was 200 yards. This morning 0800.

Quite a few with a bow, compound and recurve, used a lot of slug guns growing up till they switched to rifle. We used a lot of bunckshot while I was in Va which was fun and a bunch with an in-line ML and a of course rifles. Man what a blast it has been.
