Great shooting hardpan and some mighty fine groups. I thing you're there with load development with your rifle. I shoot 71.0 gr IMR 7828 and I'm getting 3525fps average velocity with the accubond and great accuracy like your showing us there. Good shooting with a great caliber
Nice looking shooter pop. Good luck with the stock replacement, I'm sure that you can improve on it. Try a McMillan, that's the one that I have always liked. Let us know how she shoots.
Congratulations on the new rifle bullet. I'm sure she will be a shooter. I've never owned one, but have always been a fan of the 358 win. I actually thought that it came out before 1955. This caliber is a great 200-300 yard rifle. It will also give full penetration on deer sized game and good...
I've always had luck with the 180 BT and a 300wm. I switched to the 180 nab with the gun and never looked back. I worry that the lighter nab's or BT's expand too rapidly on close shots and won't get full penetration.
Great job bullet. Pop and I will have to bid on it...lol. You're definetely there with the GS's and the gamekings. Those velocities exceed the ackley and are approaching the H&H mag. WOW what a rifle and a heck of a shooter. That will surely flatten out the '06.
Powerstroke, great shooting. You can work that charge up to 71 grains, that gave me 3525 average velocity and the groups actually shrunk as the velocity went up. I then played with primers and found my best accuracy with rem 9 1/2m's.
WOW bullet. I cant wait to do some more tinkering. That group and velocity is fantastic. 3800 looks is 1/4 grain away, then you can tinker with oal and get that thing really shooting.
Nice shooting. Everything looks good so far. IMR 7828 can get those velocities up a bit. I'm seeing 3525fps average with the 110 nab and very good accuracy.
You're quite welcome Boresighter. You're right as I can imagine that it is very much different than where you are. Recent weather has more water in the woods and I will soon need hip boots to get around.
I do oil my bore after cleaning, but I run dry patches through it before firing. I oil my barrel good to get any bore cleaner out that may be lying in the lands.
Yes there are gators there. We've seen them from 4 to 10 feet long. Good thing for us they are not out this time of year. They come out in the spring till late summer.
