I would also try H4831 and don't forget to try RL-22. My Rem 700 in 280 and my NCR 280ai both prefer H4831 and RL-22 for the heavier bullets. If you drop down to a 140 you will want to try RL-19. My rifles also shoot the Hornady 154gr interbond very well with RL-22.

I recently AI'd my Rem 700 ltd in 30-06. It shot very well before the conversion and shoots just as well after. I had to re work all of my loads but ended up shooting about 120 fps faster with a 165gr Ab and Bt. I haven't played with the 180 gr bullets yet. You can't rely on posted velocities...

I have been a Hoppe's #9 user for 20 years but have recently switched to Butches bore shine. I don't care for the smell but it cleans carbon and copper FAST.

I start about .015 off the lands. I find a powder primer combo that shows good signs and then adjust the seating depth to dial it all in. Welcome to the forun by the way.

You can adjust the rem trigger to shoot pretty nice but if you want a good one buy an aftermarket like a Timney or Jewel and you won't be sorry.

I happen to like the Nosler custom hats in grey with a red logo. I also like their rifles. Particulary the ones in 280AI. Don"t take this personally TBASTIAN, but the Beavers suck Duck soup.

You are definately shooting some nice groups there but.... I would try some RL-19 and the Nosler 165gr AB before you settle on anything.
