Hi Guys
Just a followup to my 6mm Remington thread below.
What do you recommend,
The nosler book says that RL19 is the most accurate powder, but at the lowest powder charge whereas RL22 is the most accurate at maximum powder charge. The difference being somewhere around 400fps.
Does that...
Thanks Bacova.
I have the Noslaer reloading manual and this has caused a little confusion. RL22 gives the highest velocity and the max load is the most accurate. RL19 is stated as the most accurate powder, but the most accurate load is the one with the least velocity - approximately 400fps...
Hi Guys
I am hoping someone on here would have some loads with this bullet weight they could share. I did a search and couldn't find anything that matched.
I am thinking for a hunting bullet it should be a beauty.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
LowBC
I have the same chrony - you're gonna love it, until it starts messing with your head (in a good way).
I for one know that what I thought I was getting and what I was actually getting were often miles apart. This will open up a whole new world to your shooting.
Have fun. Mine certainly made...

How did you find the 300 RUM. Did it give you significantly more than a 300WM? How was recoil, noise etc and did you have a break.
Sorry for the tangent this is simply another 30cal I am interested in.

Definitely some nice shooting there. Just wondering what you were aiming at. I can see the bullet holes but no target per se.
I have been thinking of getting a 300wsm, seems a nicely balanced cartridge.

I imagine your brass would also stretch less than a hot 7mmRM load to due to the shape of the case???
There is a lot to like about the 280AI, are there any off the shelf rifles chambered for it?

How are you finding that load of 73grains with the 250grain PT. I have used this load with 225grain projectiles and it seems very mild in my rifle.
For anyones interest, I am using a tikka 595 continental with 24inch barrel. With RL19 the following were the chronographed results,
73...

I am figuring you meant 64grains of RL22 with a 150BT NOT 74grains of RL22
I suspect that it might go off with a big bang if 74 grains were used.

Hi Pop
I am reloading the 150 grain Ballistic Tip. My rifle has a 26 inch barrel, I am using Remington Brass, Federal 215M primers and RL 22.
My current load is a conservative 64grains at 3,030fps (chronographed average) and produces bughole size groups. In fact it is the best my rifle has...
