What Nosler bullets would you like to see in 2012?

7mm cal 120 gr AB

.338 cal 300 gr AB

.358 cal 200 gr AB Protected Point

.429 cal 250 gr PT Hand Gun

.458 cal 300 gr PT (45-70)

I would really love to see a high bc ( .65 or above) .338 hunting bullet. I don't know if it is a 300 gr AB, I would think that it wouldn't have to be bonded. Or maybe just streamline the AB more. I don't know much about how to go about it. But I feel that the guys that shoot a long ways at game need to be doing it with a hunting bullet, not a target bullet.

.277" 150 grain AB.

7mm 120 grain ET.

Gerry, you have a couple of excellent suggestions that would make me smile--the 130 grain 6.5 mm E-Tip and the 225 grain .358 E-Tip for my 35 Whelen. Nosler, here's another vote for these bullets. Plus, I'll add that I would be appreciative to see a 225 grain .358 for the Whelen.

.224: 60 gr Accoubond
.277: 150gr AB
.284: 160gr BT, 168gr BT
.338 Bring back the 200gr BT. You make the combined tech for Wichester, you can stick a different colored tip in a few.

Wow, there are some awesome suggestions. First off, with what Jake is saying, I am thinking there is a need for a good high BC'ed 338 bullet. Again, I am thinking it does not have to be an AB if they are kept around 275-300gr's. It should be plenty meaty enough with normal BT building procedures and still be much tougher than a Berger or MK.

.264 120-130gr ET
.277 150gr AB
.284 120gr AB (for 7-08's and similar and screamers from the bigger 7's)
.308 125gr AB
.358 200gr AB/PT (Protected Point)
.358 225gr ET (Whelen and bigger)
.458 (300-350-400gr) Partition/AB for the 45-70. I would prefer the 350 or heck, just bring back the old 300gr PT, and there isn't a suitable bullet in the Nosler selection for heavy game with the 45-70.

If Nosler made a 60 gr .224 AccuBond I'd have to get me another .220 swift. But I really want a 7mm 175gr AccuBond. For that matter, if Nosler would reintroduce the 7mm 162gr Solid base I'd buy a bunch of those too. That is my all time favorite bullet. I'm looking forward to getting some of the 6mm Accubonds.

Maybe a 275 grain high BC .338 bullet. Speer made one for years but it was a semi-spitzer. I am sure that Nosler rcould design an over .600 BC bullet in .275 grains that woud be able to be pushed at 2600 fps by the .340, .338/378 and other super .338 mags.

Charlie, I love that old Speer. I have a few 100 of them still and man, they are some great performers in my 338. I am sure you all with the big 338's could get much closer to 2800-2900 with them. I get right at 2625-2650 out of them with my 338WM with RL22. Plus, they are very accurate in my rifle. I almost used them this year, but decided to try out the 250gr PT again.

Went 9 water jugs for me (the most I have seen thus far)

Those old Speer bullets were very good at letting the air out of elk with a .338 WM. I just imagine what they could do with a RUM or Lapua at 2800 fps. With Partition technology, they would be an awesome bullet.

My wish has been granted for the 6mm 90 gr. AccuBond, and I know they are going to make it, but I've been wanting that for a couple years now at least! Sure has taken a long time!!

7mm 190 PT or AB
25 120 AB for those of us with a long action Bob
22 77 PT or AB turn an AR into a true hunting rifle.

This is kind of a offshoot of jmad_81 but I'd like to see Accubonds in a VLD style and heavy for caliber bullets from 7mm to .416 (probably never see the .416's but you can always hope). A lot of guys shoot them to medium range already for hunting. Something similar to a Amax but bonded.
175-190gr 7mm
210-230gr .30
275-300gr .338
300-350gr .375
375-425gr .416

It could be a whole new product line. Call them the AccuBond LR's. Then we'd have actual hunting bullets instead of target bullets modified to hunting. The super long range guys would still use VLD's but the guys that are happy out to 1000yds or less would have another great bullet to pick from.

That is a great idea! Man, the only one you missed was a high flying .264 bullet! Oh, and a goofy little .243 bullet for Brian! Scotty
