2022 Hunting Pictures

Well the antelope got away from my daughters this year but we were able to get a couple whitetails yesterday. Was a day full of walking and busting some drifts but 17000 steps later we had 2 down. We had a great father daughter hunt, and both of use were happy we didn't have to go out this morning before we headed home. Hers is a 2.5yr 12" 3x4, mine a 3.5yr 16" 4x4

Oldest stepdaughter got this guy this morning. 75 yds, 6.5 Creedmoor, 123 gr SST, drop and flop.

Fascinating headgear on that fellow. Congratulations on a most interesting buck.

Wisconsin whitetail at a friend's place. He had me pegged in the stand so the first one I tried to sneak through the brush at him deflected unfortunately. It grazed his back as you can see. 2nd shot running quartering away caught him in front of the onside hip and exited behind the off shoulder. A good blood trail led me to him about 150 yards from the hit site.

He'll be traveling home with me to AK early next week.

No doubt he'll make the trip a little more pleasant. He is adorned with a fine rack.

What a great hunt! Congratulations all the way around. A daddy/daughter hunt has to be one of the most exciting hunts you can imagine.

Nice WI buck. What part of the state did you find him?

She'll fill your freezer with some good meals. Man, who'd thought that a 30-06 could work that well! And with only a 150 grain bullet! Good job.
