300 H&H to 375 H&H?

A friend gave me a 300 H&H mag which is still in fairly good condition.
I aleady have a custom built 300 Win Mag which serves me quite well for deer and elk, etc.

Basically, the 300 H&H and the 375 H&H cases are pretty close to the same except for length and neck configuration. The lower end of the cases are identical in both calibers.

What's your opinion(s) on having the 300 H&H rebarreled to 375 H&H?

(Sorry but forgot to mention, the finished rifle will end up in Alaska)

Everybody needs a 375 H&H!

I agree! And yes all you have to do is rebarrel. No other changes.

Dave,

There are a lot of .375 H&H rilfes out there, but way fewer .300 H&Hs. Depending on what rifle it is, I would think about keeping the .300 H&H and just acquiring a .300 Ruger for AK.

Hi, Mr. H & Mr. H make fine calibers and the 300 is great. I owned the 375 for over 10 years and it never let me down. In AK a 300 would do the trick as well but if by chance someone was able to get to Africa in the future the 375 is all you need from the small to the large. I would rebarrel and have both the 300 & 375. But that would maybe just be me :)

Blessings,
Dan
