i have some 150 and 165 AccuBond bullets on order. just wondering what velocities people are getting with them and what are some favorit loads?so far i've been trying speer hotcors, nosler partitions and hornady interbonds with moderate to poor success in the accuracy department. i hope the AccuBond witll shoot as good in my .300wsm as it does in my .270 and .25/06.

I get great performance with 150gr. Interbonds and my velocity is 3336. My gun will consistently shoot these under 3/4". I have some 150 Accubonds but have not yet shot them in place of my Interbonds I would assume they would shoot just as good.

Tell us about some of the loads and powder you have tried. I load for 2 300WSM's and 150, 165 and 180gr Partitions have all been very accurate with the right powder.

my rifle is a rem. 700sps with a HS precision stock which has the action bedded. so far i've loaded the speer hotcors, nosler partitions and hornady interbonds with RL19, imr4831, H4831,W760 and H4350. this rifle has proven to be quite a pill to get to shoot. most all groups are in the 2" range. i've had limited success getting some load combos to shoot decent at times. here they are:

165 Nosler PT/IMR 4831 1-2"
165 Horn. IB/RL19 .75-2"
165 Speer HC/H4350 1" or less

the hotcor load is by far the best in the accuracy department with loads around 1/2-3/4", but i feel i'm reaching a near max load (67.5gr.)in my rifle and the velocity is only about 3000fps.

i figured i would just try some accubonds and see if i can find a good combo with both good velocity and accuracy.

I own a Remington XCR chambered in 300 WSM and have develped a pretty good load for it using the 165 grain AccuBond. I tried and tried to get it to shoot Partitions, as that is the bullet I use in all my other rifles, but this gun just does not shoot Partitions well at all.

The load I settled on consists of a Winchester case, a Fed 215M primer, 67 grains of H 4350, and the Nosler 165 AccuBond. In my 24 inch barrel the velocity is 3170 fps and the groups are consistantly under an inch.

I tried a number of powders before settling on IMR4831 for the 165 grain partitions. My 24 inch barreled 300WSM Kimber will put 3 shots in roughly 1 3/4 inches at 200 yards with 67 grains of IMR4831. Velocity is 3050.

I have found that Viht N-550 is pretty good powder for the 300wsm. IMR 4350 works pretty well too. I agree that a person should load the 300 with a 180gr AB and consider themselves set for whatever they see.

With all bullet weights, I have found W760 to be the most accurate in the 300WSM or at least in mine. Hornady found the same when they done their initial testing. Also, it is my understanding that this it the closest powder available to the reloader to what winchester uses in their factory rounds. My own load for the 165 BT is 69.5 g w760 CCI 250 primer in fire formed cases. BEWARE this load is safe in MY GUN. It is shown to be too hot in most reloading manuals. Try to stay below 66.5 g as that is the load that is tops in Nosler's manual. I have always found w760 to perform better at higher pressures.
