What weight bullet would you choose for your 338-06 for all around performance? Hunting Deer, moose and bear.

Thanks!

Good advice, this. It is what I would choose, though the 200 grain E-Tip will give good performance as well.

I use my Ackley Improved version with 225gr Acubonds or the TTSX's, (built mine to shoot heavier bullets) but i only use this rifle as my elk rifle, maybe a moose. Its hard not to take my 300WM to moose camp......its been my traditional rifle out there for 20 years. Sentimental I guess.

A 210gr PT for everything would be good.

Maybe a 200gr AccuBond would be another choice to consider for everything.

I agree on this choice as well. Also I wouldn't hesitate the 225 gr. AB.
Which ever shoots best.

I am really going to mess with the 210 PT this year in the 338WM. The next up would be the 225 PT/AB.. I really think there is some hope for the 210 PT though. Should be a mid 3000's load and if I can get the accuracy, should be an excellent elk load.

Can't imagine needing more from a 338-06 in the mid 2700's or so. I know Joel loves the crap out of it.
