45-70 400grn.

i would like to see nosler make a 400 grn flatnose Partition style bullet
for 45-70 i think with the rise in popularity of the 45-70 lever actions
these bullets would sell very well I know speer makes one but there is a
little note in every box stating that they don't recomend using these bullets
on heavy game

I agree a 400gr Partition for the 45/70 holds a lot of appeal.

I'm currently shopping for either a Guide Gun or a 22"-er, and the first place I came was to see if Nosler had a bullet for me. Everything I've read is that the 405 gr cast bullets are the cat's meow with these guns. I believe there are a lot of them being sold, as I cannot hardly find a used one online. I hunt the brush in NW Montana, and the 45-70 will take anything I should encounter, and at least give me a chance to run from a Griz ;-)

PS: I went through about 5 boxes of ammo of various weights this season working up a load for the M-1, but finally found a good elk load.
