Anyone have any info on this round? I have a rem 700 barreled action sitting in my safe waiting for the funds to get a custom barrel. Have been kicking around ideas for what caliber and recently read about this one. Seems to have very good ballistics and good barrel life. Reports of muzzle velocity around 3100-3150fps with the 105gr match bullets.

Here's some interesting info on ballistic comparison between 6mm & 6.5mm.

Seems to be pretty simple to form brass from the parent case as well. And I believe GA precision sells properly head stamped brass for it as well. I thought the graphical representation of BC in relation to weight was very interesting. That 105 hybrid seems to be head and shoulders ahead in terms of efficiency!

...the 6mm Creedmoor case has the same advantages as the 6.5, shorter overall length, longer neck, sharper shoulder, less case taper, handles the longer bullets better in a short action. While it gives up a little case capacity, it seems to make it up by being more efficient. No doubt the 6mm's are cleaning up on punching paper, but if it came down to hunting, I'd probably live w/ a 1/2 MOA more drop to get the 25-33% more energy...

It is nice there is some good Hornady brass too. For a good deer or paper rig that 6mm CM looks real good. Especially for the Remington guys confined to 2.8".

Ya, I'm not worried about the energy difference. I've got lots of hunting guns. Was looking at this for a comp/coyote gun. Looks like it'd be a fun little round to play with!!!
