Since the good Dr is looking for "Tag Soup" recipes, hunts by Braille and waits to feel teeth or ??? before he shoots, it is no wonder that blackmail would strike his fancy too! LOL

Yeah, I have also been a little worried about our good friend Gil. Keep an eye on him and let me know if you think we need to get him some help------what is that old saying, with friends like us you don't need any enemies Dr Mike, --lol

Well we have gone from best tasting game to blackmail so what's next
Rat burgers?

Well, there are people promoting "cane rats." :? I dunno', I value my marriage enough to avoid rats in any form.
DrMike with 47yrs and counting I understand your dilemma and if I were to do it over again I wouldn't change a thing. Keeping peace is a main objective. Sometimes I think they only tolerate us for their own means.

Uhh no way I'll ever catch you. Do you get a special gift for having the most post?
But truly there was an error message and every time I tried to get threw it it must have posted the message.

For Wild game here in Idaho:

I've had Moose and it was great but have not had a supply.
So,
Top Spots for us are Elk and Spring Salmon! Both are top notch for table fare. The local elk eat well and it shows in the table. The Spring Chinook Salmon come from Ocean and up the Columbia at 40 degF (COLD Water) and when they get here, they are still have absolutly great meat.

Whitetails - again the local herd taste great.

Blacktails from the West side of WA - Hunted them for 22+ years and an old rutting Buck ...... my dog wouldn't go near them. They became Sausage sticks from the local smoke house. Then they were "great".

Field prep is still so important. Hide off and cool down - hang for as long as possible. We (wife and I) have been processing our own meat for over 25 years now so we have full control of the condition and prep of our game.

I can't remember the last time we bought beef burger, we grind and mix our elk/deer with some beef and have been eating that for the last decade or so.

Still like a big o'l greasy Ribeye steak - ummm
