I'll add to the 8mm, 8mm Gibbs, 185 PSPCL, RE-17, 330 yards, took 4 steps and done. Nice bull last year. Remington 78, Douglas Barrel, Timney Trigger, Sig Whiskey scope. Coyote, 287 yards, DRT.

I do have experience with a 325 WSM and 4-- 8mm rem mags.

Had a great evening sealing the deal on this black bear. 80 yard shot w/ the 8x57js. A single 180gr Barnes TSX bullet at 2780fps, dropped the bear on the spot. Nice entry and exit hole with very little meat damage.

I have an unmodified Kar 98K WW2 rifle in 8x57. I have drilled and tapped it and put on a 3 post reticle scope to simulate what the German Snipers used. Not authentic, definitely faux, but as close as I could get. Have killed several deer and 2 coyotes with it. It is a sub 2” group rifle that I enjoy fooling with. I load 200 gr Speer bullets at 2475 fps which is pretty much mil standard.
