I love Holidays, and there is only One Thing that Depresses me during this time of year...as a Minister it seems "everytimeIturnaround" there is a party, an event, a visitation concerning, on top of hospital visits, babies being born, while I enjoy it and am Called to do it....it sure gets in the way of my time at the loading bench and the range! ha. Any "non-Ministers out there deal with similar? Merry Christmas Ahead of Time to ya! :)

The holiday season is almost always a hectic time in my business with year end looming.
Along w my wife, grown daughters and grandkids, there is also my 87 year old mother that acts like a 16 yr old  and is very social. So I'm with you on the no time for my toys but that's ok. I look on the family duties as irreplaceable time.

After we have made a bullseye with God's work, He will find time for us to make other center-hits.

As a LEO my view of most holidays has become....well skewed. I tend to dread them now when I used to look forward to them.

At my work I always get super busy since we go to basically a ghost crew.

Of course, it's usually -20F outside so that cuts into the shooting time too.

Hmmm Bah Humbug, not really I enjoy family and friends this time of year though I have to say that when I owned my own company the holidays always interfered with my business and I really never looked forward to them since they always cost me money that couldn't be recovered. Now that I sold the truck and have time to relax and enjoy life again I do seem to get into the spirit more. As far as reloading, I can do that late in the evening when everyone has left, but the shooting time is always precious since the weather and part time job conflicts with my interest.

Preacher I have always said that life is not about how much time you get but how you spend it. As a preacher it is tough for you to find time for your own interests due to being constantly employed in serving others. I feel for you.

The holidays especially bring out the "Ebenezer Scrooge" in me.

As I am sure others do, I try to fit my interests in where ever I can during the holidays. Unless you're one of us, you don't truly understand the fixation.

Good luck and thank you for your service Preacher.

Dale
