6ppcar,

Your interest in the .458 Lott has generated alot of interest for me. Especially when I read of the similarities to the 45-110. Sounds like a fun unit. Considering a Ruger #1 and load up with blackpowder for jug shooting..

But I am in the middle of a bench gun build and now I gotta fund the optics I want for the top.. So, it would be a bit. Plus I want to rebarrel my 6AI PD gun to a .243, a new tube & scope for my 7mm RM and a new trigger for my .243 and I want ................. & ................. I guess my wish list is ever growing and changing..

With a little luck I will be adding a heavy bbl Laminate 25-06 to the family. Then I will be complete.............for this month anyway.

300 win mag
.30-06
.243 (mine)
.243 youth (sons)
.22-250
50 cal pursuit pro(MZ)
50 cal Knight T-bolt(sons MZ)
54 cal Sharpe's percussion(jus because)
54 cal traditions St.Louis Hawkins
.30 cal M-1 carbine(Jus because)
Hopeing to swap out my 243 ofr the 22-250 for something bigger for my son, then my daughter can have his .243 youth

Well I am the champion of mid caliber overlap. Sako 75 Hunters in 7m-08, 270, 280, 308 and 30-06. I also had em in 7mm and 7mm Weatherby mag, but was dumb enough to trade em mostly because they were too hvy....still wonder what overcame me but I think it was other Sakos. The 270 and 30-06 will be/are my 2 son's when they move out. I also have a Rem LVSF 22-250, a Marlin 30-30, a CZ 453 in .22 cal and a Thompson Contender pistol in 7-30 Waters.

I have a battery of pre 64 M70's, 99F's, and others. Now that I have got older the Kimbers appealed to me so I have a few of them as they weigh less.

Here are a few at the range.

The rifle on top is a ZB Brno 22F in 8-57S. It has a 20.5" barrel, full stock and I had a Dakota 3 position safety added.

Second is a Mannlicher Schoenauer in 30-06.

Third is my 99F in .358 Win. This has been my #1 woods rifle since 1966.

Fourth is a Mannlicher Schoenauer MCA with a 20" barrel, full stock in .358 Win.
