Put Leupold FXII 6x36mm LR Duplex as well as Leupold bases and rings back on my M48 TGR and back to 7.6 pounds total weight. Also, have ordered some Leupold bases and rings for my Marlin XL7 30-06 for mounting my FX-3 6x42mm wide duplex. Will show pictures of the 06 when the bases and rings get here.

Did you have Talley one piece base-rings on there before, Mike? I would think that the aluminum Tally's would be lighter?

Yes, you are correct, I had tally one piece bases and the rifle weighted 7.5 but I did not like how they looked. I also tried Warne but they weighed to much and I did not like how they looked. I have come full circle on how the rifle looks and I like how the Leupold bases and rings for look and weight.

I use Warne steel bases and TPS aluminum machined rings. Just curious? I had issues with the windage screw on the Leupold bases coming loose, ring screws breaking after use, and not holding zero. I use a torque/set screwdriver for rings and bases.

Note, I do not use the windage base from Leupold so I don't have that trouble.
