What a great rifle. A near perfect rifle/caliber combination for Texas.

Load you up some 115 ballistic tips or 117 Sierra's to 3000 fps or so and go shoot you a few deer with that 25-06. Those big cannons will become safe queens when it comes to deer hunting. Been there and done exactly that.

You know if you shoot it as a .25-06 you'll figure out real quick that it kills things dead! Then you'll be looking for another donor rifle for the .338-06. I've got at least one of each though only one is a Winny, but they are all CRF.
