That rifle I bought arrived today. I’m in love

I’ll be putting the scope in some Leupold backcountry rings but this might be a rifle I don’t change anything on. Maybe a new recoil pad to shorten it to my LOP but that’s it.

I made a modification this morning. Sanded down the barrel pressure spot with my dremel. It's bedded in an aluminum bedding block with pillars, so I don't understand what the barrel pressure was for.

My daughter's factory compact m700LH 7-08 shot better with the pressure pads then floated with the ammo factory ammo i had. Had it in 2 different b&c stocks. The action now wears a 6br barrel

As stated some rifles shoot better with a pressure point. Hope you shot it first before removing. Although, not too difficult to reinstall if needed.

It shot around 1" with handloads with the previous owner. He couldn't get the groups down further. He's a good handloader and shot, so I assume it's due to the pressure point. If not, like you said, it's not that difficult to put one back in.

About the only thing I see wrong is the bolt handle is on the wrong side. Otherwise, first class.
