If it doesn't bother you to have a small field of view it might be for you. Do not think that it will have the same FOV as a 3.5-10x40 VX-3 set on 4.5 as it does not! Good optics and build, but a small FOV! I bought one for my 300 Wby which goes in the brush as well as open fields so the 3.5-10 would have been a better choice.
I bought one to go on my Creedmoor Hawkeye, but I have read about this before, and I'm a little hesitant to pick up any more until I give it a good tryout. Whet the heck, I seem to be on a bit of a 2.5-8x36 tear lately, with a VX3 w/ M1 elev., and a VX III heavy duplex.
I think that 2.5x8 VX3 or 3.5x10 are excellent scopes Kurt. Just love them. The 4.5 is okay, but not as nice to look through as the others. Wished I went 3.5x10 on it to be totally honest. Scotty
