but I could not help myself. I am a Ruger #1 addict.

Like new Ruger #1s in 338 Win Mag. Sweet. This makes my fourth #1!

1V in 204 ruger
1B in 25-06
1H in 458 LOTT and now.........
1S in 338 WIN MAG.

Hope she shoots well!

PS. The carpet is gun shop carpet! not in my house...YUK!

POP I'm a big fan of the 225 AB, but If you are wanting to shoot the 200 grainers I had good luck with the 200 E-Tip. The ET was going just over 3000 and the 225 AB shoots under half inch at 2800.

My gun likes RL-19 for both.

I have shot some 185 XLC and 225 TSX out of it as well. Was getting around 3200 with the 185, and 2906 with the 225.

Don't you already have a 338 WM?

Very nice rifle Pop coming from a Ruger #1 fan myself, and a great caliber. The flowers and the color just make the rifle stand out so nicely! Here's this manly mans rifel and instead of being displayed on a nice elk hide rug or something, it's sitting in a bed or flowers. Very Precious!! :lol:

Awesome rifle Pop. I would work the R19/225gr AccuBond. I would think you could get 2900 out of them without too much trouble with the 26" barrel. That looks like a great rifle and a very good caliber. There are worse addictions, so keep at it. Scotty

Good point. Have you had a lot of bullet failures with Sierra's? Just wondering. Also, what bullets, cartridges, and game. Just wondering, since I wouldn't want to make the same mistake. Scotty
