I have narrowed down some Noslers/ & Hornady 150's in BTSP & SST's
All 150's bullets shoot MOA with 49.7 of IMR 4064 in my 06.
H4350 or IMR 4350 doesn't produce as good of groups.

Been working on data for the 165 gr bullets but haven't found an
accurate load yet. any input on this would help.

150's are shooting 5/8" to 1" pretty consistently
with 20 + rounds to back that up. I'm working at breathing control
and trigger control so get an occasional flyer out maybe 1 inch.

What kind of 06 do you own?

H4350 and IMR4350 work better with the 165gr bullet. For your 06 since I don't know what kind it is, start with 56grs H4350 and work up and with
IMR4350 start at 57grs and work up. You will find the Ballistic to be accurate and a deadly killer of deer.

You have a nice setup. I hope you try the powders above and use 210 Fed primers with these powders and the 165gr and see what happens. Good luck

The IMR 4350 is good powder. At the present I'm using IMR 4064 powder in my 30-06 Handi-Rifle. I'm getting close to 2900FPS from this powder. I'm using Nosler 165BT bullets. Imr specs say that you can load 165 gr. bullets at 60.0C to top out at about 2950FPS. I like IMR Powder to load with for my 30-06 and my 7mmMag.

Noslers Rock!

My standard 30/06 load is 58.5-58.8grs IMR-4350, WLR or Fed 210M, any 165gr bullet seated 10-15 off the lands. Normally works very well.Rick.

Rick. Thats a HOT load. By the Nosler #6 book Max is 57 gr IMR 4350.
Not sure what the PSI would be at 58.5 Would have to work up
to that load "slowly"..

CW, if the 4350 isn't working very well, I'd try a different primer. It can be very sensitive to primer selection.

Many of the old military '06's have long throats, and build pressure more slowly then a SAAMI min chamber. Of course, folks should still be careful.
