Rifle Stock Coating

Hi guys, I am looking for some options on a rifle I bought last year.

It was a custom -06 and it has a McMillian stock. It has a factory camo finish that looked like a toddler painted it. So I went to the local hydrodipper/decorator and the new finish look good, but scratches fairly easily. In the process, they sandblasted the stock to remove the top finish. I am not sure why they did that but, there ya go.

With that, what do you recommend as a finish for this stock? I am looking for a good combo for a hunting rig.

Semi gloss or flat Urethane should work .

If you have any wood finishing time under your belt you could try "Chambers Traditional Oil Finish". I have used it numerous times and any wood gunstock finishing I do will be done with this finish.
