So here's the deal....
I have the original wood stock with the funky fore-end and would prefer to leave it in original condition sitting in my closet for many years to come.....
Right now the gun is sitting in a factory winchester black synthetic stock. I pillar bedded it a few years back, but I'm worried about the epoxy bond to the plastic...... so far it has held up, but I've never really cared for the feel of that ugly black thing.... i was thinking of a nice laminate, but that would kind of contradict the featherwieght part
It is quite possible that this gun will be rebarreled in the near future... 204? 223 AI? who knows..... so a tight channel for now with the ability to be fitted to a heavier contour in the future would be preferred....
what are my options and what would you do if it were yours?
