tc encore, help

some times my tc closes with a dull thunk :roll: , instead of the crisp locking sound it should, when it closes with the dull thud, either it pops open randomly or you cant cock the hammer, why wont it close reliably,??any ideas

The man that introduced me to the T/C Contender handgun told me that you should firmly snap the action closed to ensure a solid lock up. I would assume that the Encore would be similar.

Yes firmly close any T/C so it will lock up.

If you reload and do not full lenght resize then the round may be a bit long and cause the trouble also.
Just another idea. I have no trouble with any of the several barrels I have for my encore pistol(308win/454/223/257Roberts/25-06)

diverhunter is spot on. You need to push the shoulder back when you resize and also make sure that your frame and bolt pins are clean and lubricated. :grin:
