Given that I have a 26" barrel plus a brake, makes it about 28" total, and most data is for a 24" barrel, I'm thinking of trying H4831 with the 200 grain AccuBond.

The recommended powder is Reloader 19, which I don't have and it's next to impossible to acquire according to my local gunpowder dealer, man that makes me sound like I'm trying to arrange a drug deal:oops:, and given my barrel length I was thinking a little slower burning powder may be beneficial in this rifle. I can find data for the 200 grain SPR SP using H4831 but not the Nosler AccuBond.

My plan was to work up loads starting at the minimum charge for the SPR SP bullet up to the maximum charge for that bullet until I find a group I like or I see pressure signs. What say you all?

Vince

Edit To Add: This is for a .338 Win Mag.

What cartridge is this for? If i is for a .300 Win. Mag, I've got two loads that worked well in my rifle with that bullet. One using H-1000 and the other with H4831SC

I don't know that H4831 would be my first choice. Your barrel is still 26 as the muzzle brake us dissipating pressure.

Code:
Cartridge : .338 Win Mag.
Bullet : .338, 200, Nosler Accubond 56382

I would run IMR4350 under the 200's Vince. If I wasn't running RL19, IMR4350 or H4350 would be my next choice. Ramshot Hunter looks real good too.

IMR4350 shot real well with the 210 PT's as well. Should be able to get an easy 3000 out of either bullet.

For .338 Win., Scotty is right on, no surprise there.

In the 338 Win best luck with IMR 4350 and Reloader 19 with 210 Nosler Part and 225 Accubonds

I enjoy when Alaska does it myself. Pretty sure he gets a bit of use out of his 300’s and 338’s. He’s posted a few moose the size of the my Jeep!

I am sorry I don’t look at dates just like my birthdate kinda makes time slow down .......I guess :)

IMR4350 is my top powder for the 200 AB, 210 & 225 partitions. For the 250, H4831 & RL22 FYI.

In 338 Win mag the 2 best powders I have used are IMR 4350 and Reloader 19. I prefer 225gr bullets like the Nosler AccuBond and Swift A Frame.

I haven’t reloaded for anything in four years.
That’s when my life changed drastically and I just haven’t had any interest in loading.

I’ll just go buy a couple boxes if I ever get drawn for anything.
