Well I pulled the trigger, pun intended, on the 22 creedmoor. I mailed out my barreled action to long rifles inc to be converted.

I have all the necessary dies and a good sample of bullets to try it out with. Making brass from 6mm creedmoor is simple and quick. Now I just need to come up with so load data. From what I’ve read re26 is about the best powder going for it, 4350 being the second most popular.

Anyone on here with any 22 call me experience or data?

Should be a fun rifle! Sure similar looking to the 22-250 case. What action are you using for the build?? Barrel?
 
It’s a Remington 700 SA with a Schneider p5 1-7 twist barrel.

I happened across it at a local gun show. It had been part of a snipers hide group buy. Long rifles inc had blueprinted the action, put an oversized bolt handle and barreled it in a 28” 223 match and turned the barrel down the last 1.5” for a globe style front sight for Palma. It saw very little use.

It’s set up in a McMillan game scout stock with AICS magazine well.

I’m getting it cut and threaded at 26.5”, rechambered in 22 CM , bolt face opened up with Ar15 style extractor, and bolt fluted.

It looks like it's a screamer just sitting still! Can't wait to see how it shoots. With the weight of the rifle the recoil should be almost nothing and should be a kick in the pants to shoot!
 
What is the barrel life of the 22CM? I’ve herd it’s low and herd it a lot.

I think it depends on how you load it. From what I’ve heard it’s 1200-1800 rounds. The harder you push it the shorter it lasts. I think it’s about the same as the 22/250 AI. I’m not planning on using this for pdog or other high volume shootingbsi if I get 1200 rounds out of it I’ll be happy.

I am running RL17 in my 22-250 with the 75 grain Swift's. I am getting about 3275 from the load in Lapua brass and excellent accuracy.

I am in the same boat as you, I am not shooting PD's or high volume stuff with mine and figure it'll last for a good spell.

Looks like a fun rifle and the cartridge is very cool. Can't wait to see you get it out and shooting TB.
 
Alpha is selling 22 Creed brass with the proper headstamp, and supposedly top-rate brass, just FYI.

A buddy was running 75 AMax's at 3550 with RL26 in a fast twisted Swift a couple summers ago. The Creedmoor might have enough case capacity for RL26 as well, if you wanted to try it...

I just picked up a box of 95gr SMK, Really impressive looking little bullet. I’m hoping I can get these to shoot out of the 22 creedmoor.

Anyone have any data for the 95 SMK or can do a quick load for me?

I wished I was home but I’d bet 22-250 Ackley would give you useful data. I’m not sure if the 95 Sierra is in there though.
 
I'd go ahead and use 22-250AI data. They're within a few grains of each other. I've used RL26 with 77 and 80 gr pills.

Got my 22 creedmoor back from LRI today. Looking forward to getting out there and shooting it this weekend.

Got out to shoot it today. Running 95gr SMK with r26. Shot pretty well at 3216fps with 39.5gr.

Very NICE! Looks like it’s ready. 90’s at 3200 is pretty stinking cool.
