Thanks guys. Bullet and myself are really having a great time. Thanks also for the compliments. The nosler accubonds are shooters for sure, however, I have killed two deer with them and the rapid expansion and incomplete penetration on close shots scared me into shooting another bullet. I think...
Nice shooting bullet. I had a feeling that today was going to produce for you. Very fine shot indeed. Congratulations and now we'll see if we can get some more shots on the other side of the river.
WOW bullet, what a group. Now that is what I call a bug hole. I think your load development is coming along just fine. You have really set the bar high now. 73 grains of imr7828 worked for me too and gave me the best velocity.
Very good bullet. Them 257's are for sure shooters. Just pick a load, I don't believe you can go wrong at this point. We'll get out there and put one of them tsx's on a deer. Put your scope 0.8" high at 100 and that will give you a 200 yd. zero and 4.5" low at 300 and 13.5" low at 400. Now...
Beautiful bullet. I would have come out also. The weather is bad here too. It will be windy tomorrow so I hope you get to shoot her and get some good groups. I'm sure that she will be a shooter. Let us know results.
Well said bullet. I own and love the 257 myself and one thing that you didn't mention it its accuracy potential. The 257 wby is moderate in recoil and fantastically accurate.
WOW remmy, I love that varmint rifle. I wished you could have had a shot at 980. That would have been interesting. Maybe next time. Congrats on the kill. Way to go.........
I'm listening fellows. The molly shooters swear by the stuff and everyone else hates it. Just trying to figure out the extreme polarity with the stuff. Seems there is no middle of the road. Never tried it myself, but large companies seem to sell plenty of coated bullets.
I would take a rem 700 short action and put a 22" hart heavy fluted S.S.barrel chambered in 325 wsm or 338 rcm. I would top it off with a 3.5 x 10 x 50 zeiss conquest with a z600 reticle. This is a combo that I'm currently thinking about. I think the 325 or the 338 would be ideal with the 22"...
I have a 3 x 9 x 40 buckmaster on my muzzleloader and I love it. It is really clear and the adjustments are true. I think the buckmasters line are great scopes and a real bargain in a market where there are few.
