    Thinking of shooting my 06 long range, bullet choice is the 190 SMK.. Have heard and read a lot about RL-17 sounds like it could work.. H4350 would be a choice as well.. Anyone have any ideas on powder or other bullet choices. We are a group that wants to shoot locally just fun......

    Ideal twist rate for shooting 77 gr. bullets ?

    Have a 1/8 twist in AR and shoot the 52gr Amax to the 75 gr Amax and have no problems, including 60gr, lots of 55gr, and 69gr .... Powders range from H335 on the light to varget and RL-15 on the heavier.....

    Started with a 200gr SMK and different powders found that RL-25 gave the best ( upper end) groups in Win brass and 215M...Now the 200gr Game King shoots the same look at the BC and see if your rifle likes the load. Have two 300's and the load groups sub min.... the BIG thing is barrel life...

    The road closures in the forest is all the back roads that have been there for over fifty years and are not graveled... The people who are disabled vets and handicapped loose out due to the closures..... The Frank Church Wilderness is open to all that want to walk and be alone in the woods...
