    Nickel Brass and Accubonds "shavings"

I do chamfer the inside of the mouth, etc., but it sounds like with Nickel I need to get a little more aggressive! I use a RCBS tool now, but like the looks of that Lyman one. Thanks for all of the help!!

    Nickel Brass and Accubonds "shavings"

Loaded another 20 tonight using the same box of AB's but with "normal" brass vs. the nickel, no problems. Weird indeed. I'm very thorough on my steps, wondering if I goofed something along the way. Can't think of what, I'm puzzled.

    Nickel Brass and Accubonds "shavings"

I've been reloading for a very long time. I recently shifted to 160 gr AB's for my 7mm. I started with some factory 2nds to sight in the gun, work up my load, etc. Anyway, I recently came upon some Nickel brass exactly like my normal RP headstamps. Today I worked up some loads for my elk...

Reloading Data for the Accubond 160 gr in 7mm Remington Mag

Wouldn't H4831sc be the same as H4831? I've always thought they were cut shorter for metering, yet the loads didn't change? I don't use SC, so I'm not familiar with it, etc.

Deer's Reaction to Being Shot and Where to Shoot

147 grain - great stuff on the reactions! Those are generally true with most animals. Elk tend to throw the wrench in there because they are so large. I would add to wait even longer than you might imagine on liver or gut shot animals. I hunt with a Biologist (plus adding in 30+ elk and 20+...

    most popular bullet

Probably depends on geographic area and species in your area, etc. I would think lower cal/grain bullets proabably sell better in whitetail country vs say elk country? Who knows. Still, the 7mm is one of the most popular guns of all time, behind the good ol' 30-06. Just curious, where you...

    Tempreature sensativaty for Reloader 22

Even though it's Hodgdon's website and who knows how valid it really is, they compare powders at extreme temps when talking about their extreme series, etc. They list alot of different companies/powders in the comparison. http://www.hodgdon.com/smokeless/extreme/page2.php#top

    7mm Rem Mag - 160 gr AB - RL22 Recipe?

Settled in on RL22 for my new "test" powder for my 7mm Mag. I've been using 4831 forever, but looked into the RL22 because it seems to be recommended for 7mm's and 300 Win Mags. I'd like to get to one powder due to cost, yet not sacrafice a ton of performance. Anyway, anyone have a good...

    Elk with a 7mm Accubond?

You are more than safe. I've hunted elk all my life and my favorite round is a 7mm 160 gr bullet. With a bonded bullet like an AB, you will be fine about anywhere you place it. Others, I wouldn't take the chance, especially at greater distances. Bottomline is you will be fine with a 160 gr...

    2006 Accubonds??

Thanks for the info and one of the reasons I shoot Noslers if because they listen to the customer. I know they are little more than other bullets, but I pay it, because I personally think with Nosler you get what you pay for! Thanks again and pass on a thanks from a customer who appreciates...

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

150 gr .270 - great elk weight in a 270 WSM 150 gr .284 - middle ground for the 7mm's 165 gr .308 - have to buy Hornady IB's now to get this, rather be buying AB's and this is shared by several buddies as well - Plus, the 165 gr bullet is very popular for the big .308 cals that want speed back...
