It's time to start thinking about next years hunting opportunities. As already discussed NR applications for elk will open in Wyoming probably next week. Yesterday I ordered my Oregon NR license and application documents for a Spring Bear PP. I am ready for my Wyoming applicAtion with a primary and secondary unit. I will be hunting the cow/calf hunt so as to start building PP for another general tag.
Turkey's were gobbling in my back yard this morning, so Turkey tags will be offered by some statesin the near future.
My original plan for this time of the year was at least a couple of days a week chasing coyote's, however that's not an option for at least three more months. All is well however with no snow and moderate temperatures. Happy new year to all!

Bill,

I've already put in for spring grizzly. I won't know if I was drawn until February. However, hope springs eternal. Spring black bear is OTC, as will be mule deer, whitetail, elk, moose and other and sundry critters that I may hunt. Fall draws won't be sent in until June, so fall grizzly and late season elk, and perhaps bison will be sought for the fall/winter. I trust all those posting on the forum get some great hunts. If those posted this year are any indication, there should be some fine hunting by the members of this board.

I have a couple of antelope points in WYO and will be applying thru the drawing there in a few days. Also non-res. deer tags are otc in some general regions, so .... thats a possibility.

Dad should get a WI bear tag. Other than that, turkeys and deer here in WI. We are looking at a family trip to Alaska so that will take the fun money away from hunting. I am going to look into ag tags for deer and bear here in WI.

Going to chase coues deer and hopefully Elk this year. I also have a javelina tag to fill and need to start getting serious about mountain lion.

I will probably hunt up to Montana again this year, chasing deer and elk up there is just too fun! Most likely will do elk, archery deer, bear, turkey, and javelina here in Arizona. I'm thinking it's going to be a great year!

Turkeys, deer, hogs, and whatever else I can in North Florida and Southern Georgia!!!!

Axis deer lottery pick this month. Hope we get early part of the season. Two is the limit this year. Red stag in March (Argentina), hoping for some private hunts in the latter part of the year.
Russ

I second Wayno945's comment about Montana being fun... I am reserved with the same Outfitter and Guide, for the same week that I enjoyed immensely last year...
Makes Whitetail chasing in Upstate NY kinda anti-climatic..

I purshased my non-resident Oregon hunting license, and PP for spring bear today.

Man, you are on the ball!

I am going to apply for the Oregon branch bull tag, and the 2nd choice will be the spike tag, same unit as last Fall.

Apply for another point in Wyoming as well.

I have orders to PCS this Summer, so it sorta muddies up any real Fall plans, as of right now.

I am sure I will get some deer hunting in somewhere as well.

Any idea what your new duty station will be, Scotty? Man, maybe the Corps will post you to Idaho!

I can tell you this Mike, they would never put me in Idaho! About as close as I would get to their might be Camp Pendleton, Ca.

I'd ask for Alaska, but I am pretty sure there isn't a whole lotta Marines left up there.

If I send a letter saying we're thinking of invading Washington, would the Corps send you to BC? You know, I could make the threat credible by throwing a few tomatoes across the line? Or maybe catching a dolly varden out of Ross Lake, and declaring that it was an illegal immigrant from the US that we were going to cook and eat.
