2024 Hunting Season

Congrats to everyone on their successful hunts! I figured I would chime in with mine. My son and I both tagged out here in Utah with our bows. He shot his second bull elk and I shot my biggest to date. Both 1 shot kills from about 35 yards.
Very nice, congratulations to both of you!

Thought some of you might enjoy some old time " off hand shootin"

MI Bowseason success for the girls
My wife bagged this 8 pt with her new Ravin R26X crossbow at 40 yards.
My daughter shot this butterball 5 pt with her Matthews Mission crossbow at 30 yards.

Jim, those are are some fine, big-bodied whitetails the ladies tagged. Congratulations.
Thanks Mike. DanNY and Caleb stopped by and helped cut up Danielle's buck. Seems everyone enjoyed busting my chops that the girls are filling tags except me. Of course that changed a little we they saw one of the bucks in after, a big 8 pt., step out into one of the food plots across the pond. Needless to say, they were impressed.

I shot this small 6x6 on Friday night. I got up to my spot a bit late and this bull was out with about 25 cows. I scanned around and saw one other cow a bit further down the hill but nothing else when I made my crawl to get into shooting position. After the shot I looked down the hill where my hunting buddy killed his bull in 2016 and saw this 340" beast of a bull plus another 300+" bull and a bull with a broken main beam that would of been over 300" too if it wasn't broken.

Congratulations on your bull!
A 340" would be nice but they take up a lot of wall space. You did good.

And it would take another trip packing meat Jim, his body was huge. As it was I didn't get home until the next night at 12:15am. 26,200 steps and 50 dirt bike miles getting camp and meat out. 😂
Good point Nathan.
You still got a really nice bull, congrats again buddy!
