22 cal 60 gr BT

Someday I am going to rebarrel my M700 VLS in 22-250 to a 1:10 twist too. A Hart #5 flutted 24" would make it a nice walking varminter.

If you're rebarreling then you may as well go with a 9" twist. That will allow you to shoot the 75gr A-Max and similar bullets, in addition to the 50-60gr class bullets.

Just a thought

I use the 55gr BT's in a Win Mod 70 with a 1-14" twist and a 22" barrel. I have tried most projectiles commonly available and apart from the Aussie made Taipan 55gr HP's the BT's are the most accurate, shooting .5-.6" 5 shot groups.

I did try the BT silvertips once and was not really impressed. I for one will be keen to try the 60gr BT's. If they don't work I've still got a good thing going with the 55's.
