My son text me from the farm and is going to send some photos of a herd of Elk less than 5 minutes from his place :lol: it is first time he has seen them since spring :wink:

Oh, yeah, Dan. I'll be looking for him now. He may get a rest, however, as I'm leaving Sunday after church for the far north, just under Yukon Territory.

It was rainy and windy this morning, and though I hunted hard, I didn't see the porky little forky. Neither did the roly poly bear come out. He scared the dickens out of a friend last Monday, however. Either would have been a welcome sight today. All I saw was a herd of mule deer. One buck in particular was interesting; he is a five by four (typical four by four with a large drop tine on one side). I'll be out again tomorrow.
