Nice rifle for a cute kid!

I hope you both enjoy shooting it, loading for it, hunting with it - and of course - painting it just for her!

Very cool.

How about purple camo! Or, use the rope wrap we just saw on another post.

Good for you, Fotis. I do believe she will love it. And in periwinkle, or orchid, or lavender, or heliotrope, or violet, or indigo, or (anything but purple), it will be gorgeous.

Fotis,

Very cool! Anna is going to have one heck of a great looking rifle when you are done! 8)

Wow! Looking great and how wonderful. My 5 year old grand babe has been asking me when I am going to teach her to shoot. I grew up in Texas and got my first .22 at 6 years. Can't see that she should be any different.

I am looking at a CZ Scout.

7mm-08 is such a great little cartridge! You did good.

periwinkle.... I should have painted my 250 that color when she still thought it was cool instead of teasing her about it. Perfect Rifle for a young lady Fotis. Somthin' tells me it will be whatever color she wants. Heck, Id take that rifle in periwinkle, or purple or (Gasp) no,no,no I just cant do pink....but she could. You are a blessed man. Enjoy and let us know what the loads are (of course). Pictures are mandatory. CL

Great grab Fotis! I picked my wife up a Marlin XS7 in 7mm-08 last summer. It is a peach to load. I just picked the starting load listed in the Nosler#6. IMR 4350 45g, 120g Balistic tips, seated them to SAAMI max length 2.800, and PRESTO I had a sub MOA deer hunting round. She only needed one round to fill her tag last fall. I am very pleased with the caliber and the rifle so far. I am sure the two of you will enjoy it as well. Happy Loading!

Everyone of them I have shot was good out of the box Fotis. What is the barrel length on the youth model?

That is a super little rifle for her to start hunting with!

Isn't it nice that this sort of thing is available now for getting young people and wives of small stature into shooting and hunting? I remember all those years ago when I bought my first big game rifle.

I was 9 years old and had shot my Dad's rifle a bit. After saving my paper route and chore money we went to the Army & Navy and I bought an old used Enfield in .303 British. My Dad then proceeded to lop off a couple inches of stock and screw on a rubber pad. It was still a heavy old beast to pack around........... but I got my first moose with it.

Being able to pick up a nicely proportioned, light weight rifle in an excellent little cartridge like the 7mm-08 is a great thing. I hope your daughter has a lot of fun with that.

This warms my heart to see your daughter as a future huntress. You also got her a rifle that will serve her well, nice job dad! I love the color purple, she choose well LOL She is a cutie. We wish her many years of success with her new rifle

Great work Fotis! That Marlin is my favorite of the black stocked rifles! Excellent rifle for the money and most people can't outshoot them right outta the gates. Hard to beat em and in purple, heck, that will be very cool!

Kurt, PURPLE rifles are for ladies!! You have been in Ca for too long!! :p
