2012 Hunting Pictures

Almost forgot the coyote in Montana he didn't think much of the 300 RUM and the 168 TSX oh yea he was trotting and I was resting on a wobble fence post surprised I hit him at all.

DR.Mike we're WAY north , Trunor Lake Sask. think its about 40 miles north of Buffalo Narrows. Lots of Bear , good size , some color phase , and just guessing here , a really healthy population of Mosquitoes and black flies. Far enough north I'm told there's Caribou.

Okay, now I have a pretty good idea where you are. You should, indeed, have a pretty good population of bruins (and mosquitoes, and black flies).

Here is a few pictures of the season my family had

Abby, my little sister was the first to score with a whitetail doe during the youth season. Marlin xs7y 7mm-08 140gr AccuBond handloads

Little bro, sully, scored second on this buck he passed up the week before and then regretted not shooting him. We found him one evening after school and he dropped him at 350 yards with his 7mm-300wby and a 160gr AccuBond.

The evening after sully shot his buck, I killed this one with just a coup,e minutes of shooting time left. 210 yards with a handloaded 130gr AccuBond from my tikka t3 270 winchester.

Abby connected on this buck on Election Day. Dad had missed him a couple days before at 400 yards and Abby killed him at 300 with her 7mm-08

This was my wife's 4th buck but her 1st mulie. We made an awesome stalk and she shot him with her ruger hawkeye all weather 270win loaded with 150gr hornady sp's.

Dad shot this buck towards the end of the season. 265 yards with his 300 RUM loaded with 180gr accubonds

Took my 12 year old buddy out to find a doe and he made a perfect heart shot with my t3 270 and 130gr accubonds

My buddy from Missoula came to hunt with me and he shot this buck later the same morning as the doe above.

I also shot a doe out of the same group but no pictures of it. Both shots were at 350 yards with my t3 270. The CDS turret on my scope makes this incredibly simple! Here are the 3 we killed that morning

I had 3 doe tags left and only an hour left in the season and laid these 3 down with my new to me winchester 70 2008 limited edition 30-06

We elk hunted HARD all season and never found any legal elk since all we saw were BIG bulls and we only had cow tags. We had an amazing year! I filled all 8 of my deer tags and our family's total was 15 or 16 deer with the majority of them going to needy families around town. I can't wait until next season! Now it's time to kill more coyotes!

Excellent season, DT. Congratulations to you and your family. It is a bummer when we don't tag an elk, but that is hunting. Consequently, as well as I did this season, this was the first time in about eight years that I didn't pull the trigger on an elk.

Wow! Great year DT! Way to go with the younger hunters and such too! You did awesome!

DT,
Nice work this year. Good on you for taking everyone out and that's one snappy looking 30-06 you've got there. Hope you'll put the hurt on the coyotes this winter and keep the pics coming.
Congratulations!
Joe

JohnB

Congratulations on a dandy buck.

DT,

Easy shot. I see his front legs were tied so he couldn't get away. I'm just yanking your chain. Great cartridge and it has to be very gratifying to drop these dogs with your own loads. Congratulations.

Nice dog DT. You look like me with your witch doctor bones, as my daughter refers to my calls, around your neck. I need to go out west for a coyote hunt. It's very rewarding when you get a good shot at one here but way too far in-between chances.

DT,
Looks like you and yours had a great year! Congratulations! I like that yote drag you show in the picture. Could you post a better picture of it? I'd like to make a few for myself.
Thanks,
Scott
