So I got to go shooting over the Easter Weekend. While shooting for distance here in the desert this rabbit took off about 225 yards away. Stopped and faced us. My 270 Win and 150 gr. BT handloads ended his day. Hit slightly off center on his left side.

Then this past weekend we went out on the turkey hunt opener. My Son and I had tags and my youngest daughter went along as our guide. We were fortunate enough to take these two fine Toms! It seems the 2015 season is off to a great start!

April snow storm after the early morning rain. I'd say when it rains it pours but I wont in this case.

Now that is a huge souped up canine right there! Are they spotted very frequently in your area?
I've seen more then a few, including one four days ago 25 yards behind my house before this female hybrid showed up right off the pavement. It was very old, heavily worn teeth and had a old wound healed up from being trapped. It either chewed the right rear toes off or were sliced off from the trap, either way it was perfectly healed and walked on just the main pad.

The 2015 late Spring Turkey Season opened Monday 5/4 and ended at 6:29 AM with two nice Tom's down. I called in 3 strutting toms and was able to have them 10 yds in front of us. Sue used her Mathews Dagger cross bow and put the Gobbler Getter broad head right where it needed to be. The bird went about 15 feet and gave up the ghost from a fatal shot through the lungs. I than put the 870 12 gauge 3" mag out the blind window and put the red dot on another Tom about 15 yds away and I sent a Winchester Long Beard load of #5's on the way, dumping him where he stood. I looked at my watch and it was 6:29 AM.
Both Toms had 9 beards and 1" spurs.

Awesome guys. I've piled up a ton of jackrabbits and squirrels and gophers but I don't think the photos are PG-Rated for the forum.
