Great whitetail your buddy took there Guy Miner !!

Getting jealous of seeing successful hunts being posted. My hunting group leaves a week later this year for our annual moose hunting trip (Oct.10). My oldest boy (9) gets to come out again for the first few days and has been pumped since last year's trip for his first time. He has hockey tryouts for Atom A rep hockey next week and will miss some hockey when we got to camp but he doesn't care...want to be out with his dad and buds at camp.

I cant wait for moose camp !!!! Keep you all posted.

How far up the Placer can you get in that jet? I've been trying to pull that tag for years and figured I'd need my canoe if I ever do.

No moose but lots of silvers. You can get back quite a ways if your on your game reading water. The trick is a smaller, light boat that you can get out and pull along if you need to.

Very thick brushy areas line the banks further up, ample moose sign but the only actual moose seen was a 56" bull. A couple who took the train back and floated out shot him a few days later and I got to put a tape to him.

There are a LOT of wolf tracks and quite a bit of bear sign up towards the glacier.

I've got till oct 10th so will head up again a few more weekends.

Great stuff! Love the photos - and yes - fishing for silvers is TERRIFIC!

Saw a couple of bull moose that looked pretty doggone impressive while I was up there - but have no actual idea of how big they were. Big.
