Just got one for fun. It is a 1998 Remington BDL/SS. Scope is a new Meopta 2-10 x40 Optika 5 . I shot it for the first time this past weekend. I had some 270 LRX on hand and tried them with Ramshot big game. Got close to 2800 fps but really horrible group (2"). I also tried the hornady 270 gr Spire Point. One load with RL-17 did "ok" at 2705 fps and .85" group. Nothing else came close to this. I may have one of the infamous sucky Remingtons we all heard about, but we will see. I will reshoot the aforementioned group to verify the .85".
Anyway what loads do you guys use in your 375 H&H. How is velocity and accuracy? Thank you!

John Barsness published his accurate 260 gr Nosler AccuBond load as 69 grains of Reloader 15 for about 2650 fps. Nosler has long shown it as their starting load with the 260's. When I did some accuracy testing using my Number One, it had no problem shooting .75" - .8" 3-shot 100 yard groups. I've used it on three black bear from 15 feet to a tad over 300 yards. It worked great. That load can be pumped up to nearly 2800 fps, but I never felt the need.

Varget also works great with that bullet and the 270 gr Hornady bullets as well.

For the 300's I've typically used 75 grains of H 4350 to get a bit over 2500 fps and good accuracy as well. I've used that with the 300 gr Nosler Partitions, 300 gr Hornady FMJ, 300 gr spire point boattail Hornady bullets and the 300 gr Sierra SPBT. All shot well, can't cite any particular group size as it's been a long time since I loaded 300's, but they shot well.

I know my 375 Wby case holds a slight edge in powder , but it’s hard to beat the 250gr TTSX with RL-17. Another great bullet is CEB 330gr MTH with RL-26 , seat them to the seal band and shoot away.

Thanks guys.
RL 15 is unobtainium. I do have 16 and 17 though.

Ya, I haven't seen any RL-15 in years. These days I suspect it's all being used in match grade 7.62x51 destined for battlefields around the world.

Powder Valley has RL-15 in stock now yet , it’s going to cost you.

RL15 is my go to powder with 260 partitions. 9 1/2 R Magnum primer, went up to 73 gr. Dont have velocities now but it was shooting good in my M70 CRF.
