What I want for 2017...........

As we make Nosler aware of what shooters are looking for, we have a greater probability of getting what we want/need. Should be interesting to see the new products from multiple companies.

Just on the SPS website.......... And it dawned on me NOSLER must have Zero interest in the.257 caliber..
I have watched there now for a year since I bought
My 25/06 and they have never had ANYTHING to sell, in .257 caliber, When I was ever on the site ???? :?
Out of stock for a year? Come on....

Plastered with dozens of bullets for the 223 crowd.....
Guess that's where the money is. $$$
I hope one of the big manufactures breaks tradition, builds a LR bullet for the 257 crowd and cleans up !!!
There has been way to much concern about twist, and
It has really hurt the chances of us EVER getting a LR bullet for the great .257.

So are we stuck at the (SPEER) 120 gr limit, .485 BC level forever : ??????
I guess........... Or until some forward thinking company introduces a 130/135 gr LR in the .600 BC range.
It would breath life into an old caliber????
Knock. Knock.
Is there anyone still breathing at R&D a Nosler???????
Right now we only have one option....... Buy a 6.5.....
Should not be that way :(

I may have posted this earlier, but what I want for 2017 is three elk tags.

Isn't that what you get every year? Maybe up the ante and wish for 4 or 5.

I had 4 this year and didn't have time to go hunt on one tag but I still have one that is good until the end of the month and we are leaving Wed. night to go try to fill them.

That's cool Nathan, I was wondering the other day, how your quest was going. At my age I can do two easily and have done three several times. A few years ago I was in Stump Creek near Afton and the temperature was 18 below with a stiff wind. That was my last hunt there, I was by myself and was close to town, but things can always go wrong. My wife is tolerant of my hunting but I agreed that there would be no more trips down there. Good luck on your hunt they should be down very low, if you can get to them.

I shot my once in a lifetime bull moose in Stump Cr. in 1993. At the time my moms cousin (we use to call him uncle) lived in Afton and owned Wolf Mountain Outfitters. My "aunt" shot a really big bull (it scored 373) on a late tag just over the hill on the Wyoming side. They use to ride the horses right from their house. I shot my cow moose across the lake from there 7 or 8 years ago.

...I can buy up to 3 elk tags, but usually only get 2, as the areas for an extra cow are over 100mi. round trip, instead of being able to see 'em from the front porch...

Drew my first elk tag yesterday. Next up Nevada. Then Oregon, will apply for PP in Washington for a couple of more years.

That must have been WY. Did you draw a bull or cow Bill?

My buddy and I put in for points in UT again this week and we'll apply for cow tags in June down there. Since we're going to AK in September I'm sticking to ID for the normal October/November hunts but I'll have at least 2 elk and 2 deer tags.

Nathan, I have a cow tag, another drew a bull tag. A third member of the group is a resident but may have work conflict.

Sounds like fun Scotty. My buddy and I are building points for a few more years before we apply. We are going to AK moose hunting this year and next year I think we are going to Kodiak for deer.

I am hoping to use the new 7mm MSM. Should be done pretty shortly. Praying for quick load work like the first one. Using the same reamer I used for the first one so I wouldn't think it'll take too awfully much to get it done.

If the 35 Newton shoots well, it'll get to hunt as well.
