Less preasure more velocity.
52grs of 4064 and either a 165gr SST/ or Ballistic Tip will net you about 2900fps from 24" barrels. Kills like crazy any game up to 400lbs. Simply change to a tougher bullet and its perfectly capable on Moose and Elk ...... If you do your part. Used it now for 37 years same load all over the world,

Exactly Guy,
I have shot some 6X6 Bull Elk with that loading, using the Partition bullets, And also 1000lb Bull Moose. The Partition works nicely on a high shoulder shot. I never tryed an AccuBond but I bet it could be a great bullet on larger stuff.
I used alot of 200gr PT and some 220s, because of Grizzlys in camp always after meat we had hanging, so have more experence with them in Alaska.
But when we were hunting Rocky Mt States I liked the nice flat trajectory of the 165! Shot a 6X Bull in the Scapegoat Wilderness area outside of Lincoln, Mt. Right after the fire went thru there, only shot we had was him laying down in thick stuff at 340yds, just his neck open from branches.
Was with Mike Barthlemess of Pine Hills Outfitters.(one heck of a Woodsman) We took the shot with JOCs load and he never wiggled.( 165 Solid base pre Balistic Tip)

This barrel is a bit faster than a couple of others we have tested the load in. Have seen it at 2950 in a 22" barrel and at 2985 in another but the accuracy was there in all 3.
Pressure may be up in the 63K range but Norma brass has held up good. Someone with QL could run and give you better look as to pressures but I've not had any hot weather issues with it. And will shoot the 150BT to the exact same poi.
