My vote goes for the winchester 1873 and the henry rifles of the time. Those rifles shaped this great country of ours....

    25-06 CDL

Hang in there Scotty. It's way too early to tell anything. Clean that baby up really well to remove all the carbon and the copper. Move to a faster powder like IMR 4350 and IMR 4831 and try that. Load within a couple grains of max and start there. Just load three of each. My thoughts are Retumbo...

    Help with Trajectory 7MM RM

I'm sorry, that's 3.0 inches high at 150, but that shouldn't matter much on an elk. Just hold a little high on a 400 yard shot. A rangefinder is your friend.

    Help with Trajectory 7MM RM

2.5" high at 100 yards will have you zero'ed at roughly 250 yards and 3.6" low at 300 yards and 15.3 inches low at 400 yards. 2.5" high at 100 yards is good to go with, but be careful that you are 3.9" high at 150 yards. That is the highest point of your bullet flight.

    300 Weatherby

My bees love barnes bullets, must be their length. I would try the 180 or 200 ttsx in that 300 bee. Or maybe the e-tip.

maximum seating depth for 257WBY MAG

I do the same with my Mk V. I have my 115 bergers at 3.36" because that's where it shoots really well with H1000.

Guys, I'm thinking this powder will be the ticket for our big bore lever rifles. My 450 may love this stuff.

    Neck turning. Few ???

Since you have to fireform, do it with a small powder charge like a minimum book charge. Then check to see if a bullet will fit into the fired brass. It should go in with very little resistance. If not you may have to turn more than just squaring the neck. To answer your question, turn the neck...

Sav. Precision Hunter or Wea. SUB MOA TR

Only the reciever is made in Japan. The rifle is barreled, triggered and stocked here. The bolt work is done here too by Weatherby. They do differ from a howa if you compare the two. Weatherby has a different bolt shroud and the reciever is rounded more. The vanguard has the 3 gas ports in the...

    Trail Cams

I'm using a Moultrie trail cam 5.0ir. Nice camera, but the lcd display is going out on it after 2 years. I'll send it in after this year to get fixed. Still works fine though and takes great pics. Uses 6 d-cell batteries, but they last better than 6 mos. and that's taking 200 pics average per...

Sav. Precision Hunter or Wea. SUB MOA TR

That's a nice one nomo. I like the 1 : 10 twist rate on it. You can shoot the heavies in that 308.....

Ideal twist rate for shooting 77 gr. bullets ?

My m4 has 1 : 7" twist rate especially for the 77 grainers. I would bet the military has done their homework on this. My vote goes for the 7 twist.
